Actress and producer Nicole Arlyn spoke about film “Til Death Do Us Part,” which was directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.

A native of Brooklyn, Arlyn grew up on Long Island. She graduated from Lynbrook High School, where she did plays and modeled; however, her film debut came many years earlier, at the age of six months, when she appeared in cult filmmaker Philip Marshak’s feature film “Potluck.

‘Til Death Do Us Part’

Arlyn plays a wife and retired killer in the movie “Til Death Do Us Part” opposite Natalie Burn, Cam Gigandet, and Jason Patric. “It was amazing to work with Tim,” she said. “Tim trusts the actors, and he is incredible. He is just so cool, you have an adrenaline rush when you work with him. I really believe in him, I got to work with Jason, who was absolutely welcoming and we connected right away.”

‘The Curse of Wolf Mountain’

In director David Lipper’s horror film, “The Curse of Wolf Mountain,” she plays writer and actor Kelli Price’s deceased mother, as seen in a flashback. “David Lipper is great too. I filmed that role at 6 a.m. Suddenly I am in a jeep swooped up on a mountaintop. I had to be scared of a guy in a mask,” she said with a sweet laugh.

“I love acting, and these are the reasons why. I like the unknowing of acting and being thrown into it. That’s what is exciting to me about it,” she added.

The digital age

On being an actress and producer in the digital age, Arlyn said, “It’s amazing because I started this film production company,  Bird in the Wild Productions, with my eight-year-old son, who makes movies that win awards, and he started at five. That inspired me to make my own films. I’ve written a lot of books and screenplays.”

Stage of her life

Regarding the title of the current chapter of her life, Arlyn said, “Dream City.”

Success

Arlyn defined the word success as “being true to yourself.” “Also, using your unique voice and having some kind of outlet and freedom to express yourself, that is the highest level of success,” she said.

“You have to follow what is breathing inside of you, and what makes you happy, free, and creative. You have to follow the path that you are passionate about,” she added.
