The husband, Ionel Popa, 39, was rushed to the hospital with his scrotum torn open after his wife punished him by grabbing hold of his testicles and yanking hard on them.
Apparently the wife, Marinela Benea, did not feel bad. She said she didn’t know her own strength and her husband deserved what happened to him.
The husband said his wife was mad with him because he didn’t give her flowers for International Woman’s Day, which was on Tuesday.
Benea said her husband came home the night before and he was drunk. She added that he was paid with wine for that day’s work and the next day she told him to help her with household chores or he could go out and earn. The argument heated up and she said he pulled away when she grabbed his testicles.
At first, Benea used ice to help her husband deal with the pain but then they decided to call an ambulance. Ionel was taken to the hospital and received surgery.
As of now, Ionel remains in the hospital where he is recovering. The couple have been married for more than 10 years and they have a teenage son.
