Q: I have a new digital camera and now I need information about different kinds of file formats. I am especially interested in the relationship between picture quality and file size. Any suggestions? — Martha T
A: Many kinds of graphic file formats are out there: BMP (Bitmap), TIFF (Tagged Image File Format), GIF (Graphic Interchange Format), PSP (Paint Shop Pro) MSP (Microsoft Paint) and of course, JPEG (Joint Picture Experts Group).
