Actors Jessica Lowndes and Jesse Metcalfe dazzle in the new original film “Harmony From The Heart,” which will premiere on February 12 on GAC Family, just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend.
“Harmony From The Heart” was written by Jessica Lowndes, who also serves as an executive producer; moreover, Lowndes sings several of the movie’s original tunes, which she also wrote and produced. She stars opposite Jesse Metcalfe.
Synopsis
Lowndes stars as Violet, while Metcalfe portrays Blake Williams. Violet is chasing her dream job, to become a music therapist, and she gets a challenging task from her professor, which helps her realize that she loves helping people and her heart begins to open.
Her department chair, Professor Carver, threatens to prevent her from graduating unless she successfully rehabilitates a patient to speak again by Valentine’s Day, which is only two weeks away, and that patient is her professor’s brother, Charles.
An additional obstacle hurdle is strong, stubborn skepticism about music therapy held by Blake Williams, Charles’ heart surgeon, and his grandson.
Violet feels the pressure to create a near miracle, so she uses music as a medium to help Charles improve his quality of life and he begins to progress.
Lowndes is wonderful as Violet opposite Jesse Metcalfe, who does a solid job showcasing the tough and soft sides of his character Blake in a raw and authentic fashion.
They are both able to sustain the audience’s attention for the entire duration of “Harmony From The Heart.” The entire cast was noteworthy as a whole.
Michael Robison did a neat job directing this film, which appeared to be a labor of love for all involved.
Lowndes’ talent stands out acting-wise and vocally, where she showcases her crisp, crystalline voice when she performs her original songs.
It is rich in symbolism coupled with such motifs as hearts and the numbers “11:11,” which are explored consistently throughout the film.
The Verdict
Overall, “Harmony From The Heart” is a captivating new original film on GAC Family, and it is the quintessential movie to watch for Valentine’s Day weekend with the entire family. The acting performances are remarkable, and it has a poignant message that is food for thought for all. “Harmony From The Heart” garners an A rating. Well done.
