“Hearts in the Game,” is a winning romantic comedy, starring Erin Cahill and Marco Grazzini. It premiered on Saturday, April 29 on the Hallmark Channel.

Stacey Harding directed this major league romance from a compelling script by Shelby Blake Bartelstein.

In this new original TV movie, Erin Cahill plays Hazel Miller, a top publicist in New York City, who is looking to build her PR empire.

Diego Vasquez (Marco Grazzini) is a top MLB pitcher for the New York Mets who froze during Game 7 of the World Series. He also happens to be the guy that shattered Hazel’s heart in high school.

When Hazel is tasked with spinning Diego’s image, in an effort to humanize him, it might be her biggest challenge professionally, and personally, as she takes him back to their hometown in Ohio to deal with what they’ve both left behind.

The storyline of “Hearts in the Game” is realistic and relatable, and the acting performances by the two leads, Erin Cahill and Marco Grazzini, are resonant and uplifting. They are not afraid to be vulnerable and sincere.

Both actors have good chemistry together, and this is a heartwarming story that just lures you in from the opening pitch.

Not only was Hazel Miller able to help her boyfriend from high school find his way back to the game, but to her heart, as well.

There is something in it for everybody, and this film ought to be enjoyed with the entire family. Well done.
