Country singer-songwriter Alex Miller released his new EP “Country” on October 6, 2023 via Billy Jam Records.
It opens with the mid-tempo and joyful “Girl, I Know A Guy,” and it is followed by the spitfire “When God Made the South.”
Miller slows down the pace with the poignant ballad “Every Time I Reach For You,” and shows his listeners how to have a good time with the up-tempo, fiddle-driven “Puttin’ Up Hay.”
The EP closes on a fun and nonchalant note with the flirty “Gettin’ Lucky in Kentucky.”
Even though there are only five tracks on this collection, there is a lot of variety on here, where each song has its own identity. It has a neat selection and balance of tunes.
Miller has that neo-traditional country vibe (where the listener can recall Joe Nichols, Mo Pitney, and Easton Corbin) that has been missing from the contemporary radio airwaves for quite a while now.
