Lee Greenwood becomes Ambassador for Disabled American Veterans

The DAV is a non-profit organization that supports the ill and injured veterans of America. Greenwood, was recently named one of Billboard’s “100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time,” and performed his most recognizable patriotic song, “God Bless the U.S.A.” for 4,000 disabled veterans at the closing ceremonies of the DAV National Convention in Atlanta this past week. The event coincided with the start of Greenwood’s official partnership with DAV.

In a press release, Greenwood noted his excitement at the DAV Convention in Atlanta, especially the men and women are dedicating their lives after their military service to help those who are struggling, in an effort to help them get back into civilian life. They help address the challenges of wounded veterans and they give each other hope.

Being an Ambassador for the DAV, Greenwood will support such campaigns as “Keep the Promise,” as well as “Thank a Vet.”
