Review: Lee Greenwood amazes on ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’ for Fox & Friends (Includes first-hand account)

It was televised on Fox & Friends as part of their “All American Summer Concert Series.”

“For all of America, it’s Fourth of July weekend. We are free. Remember that,” Greenwood exclaimed, prior to delivering a superb rendition of his patriotic anthem, “God Bless The U.S.A.”

The crowd got really into his poignant performance: they were waving their small flags, cheering him on and they were reciting the lyrics back to him with pride. He sang with a great deal of heart and was able to make an emotional connections with his audience. It is no wonder that his dynamic performance earned him a standing ovation.

The Verdict

Overall, Lee Greenwood proved to be like fine wine, where he only gets better with age, and he truly is “America’s Music Patriot.” It was the best way to kick off the Independence Day weekend. He deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. His live performance of “God Bless the U.S.A.” for Fox & Friends in Manhattan garnered an A rating.
