Alesso opens up about ‘Midnight’ collaboration with Liam Payne (Includes interview)

On his “Midnight” collaboration with Liam Payne while in quarantine, Alesso said, “We actually started working on the song back in December of last year, but finalizing it during this quarantine was definitely challenging.”

Regarding his music and songwriting inspirations, he said, “I feel like all this time at home has inspired me to make more music and also learn new skills so that has been one positive.”

Alesso revealed that his plans for the immediate future are to “write as much music as possible.”

On the best advice that he was ever given in his musical career, he said, “To stay true to your sound and don’t let anything influence you.”

Regarding the title of the current chapter of his life, he responded, “Life at home with Turbo,” referring to his dog.

Throughout his tenure in the music and entertainment industry, he acknowledged that there are many moments that helped define him as an artist and as a person. “One of my proudest moments is the release of my debut album Forever,” he said.

On the future of electronic dance music in the next five years, he said, “I see it in a similar place as it is now. Who knows about the sub-genres but dance music is here to stay.”

He shared an inspiring message to his fans and followers during the COVID-19 pandemic: “Please stay safe everyone and help us stop the spread of COVID-19.”

For his loyal fans, Alesso exclaimed about “Midnight,” “Thanks to all the fans for their support thus far and if you haven’t heard it, go check it out.”
