On September 11, London Roar won the first day of Match 6 in the International Swimming League (ISL) Season 3. Digital Journal has the recap.

London Roar won the first day with a total of 277 points, while the Cali Condors finished in second place, close behind with 263.5 points. Rob Woodhouse is the General Manager of the London Roar, and Jason Lezak serves as General Manager of the Cali Condors.

It was great to see Australian Olympian Kyle Chalmers back in the ISL racing format (after Australia didn’t compete in Season 2 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). At the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games, Chalmers won a silver in the 100 meter freestyle clocking 47.08 seconds (behind Caleb Dressel’s Olympic Record of 47.02 seconds), and two bronze medals for Australia in the freestyle relay races (4×100 meter and 4×200 meter freestyle races respectively).

Chalmers played a major role in helping the London Roar team win the men’s 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay race in the first day of Match 6. He kicked off the first leg in the relay with a time of 21.97 seconds, and the London Roar team won clocking 3:05.05, leaving the Cali Condors in fourth place with a time of 3:08.10.

Brazilian swimmer Guilherme Guido won the men’s 50 meter backstroke race with a time of 22.60 seconds, leaving Coleman Stewart in second place with 22.92 seconds.

The Cali Condors’ men and women’s teams won both of the 4 x 100 meter medley relay races, so that gave them the privilege to choose the skins races for the following day. The women will be competing in the 50 meter butterfly skins, while the men will be competing in the 50 meter freestyle skins.
