Saskatoon - Saskatchewan Party members voted in favour of lowering the drinking age from 19 to 18 during the party's annual convention in Saskatoon on Saturday. Premier Brad Wall said he would first consult with groups before any changes be made.

Police handcuffed one of the saboteurs who disrupted the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda's attempt to convene, on October 30, 2009, while others hid their faces from the camera. All of the saboteurs were released almost immediately, but Rwandan Greens arrested at the meeting and afterwards were held for up to a week, and party members face ongoing intimidation.
