Burt Brothers Tire & Service Breaks Ground in Layton for 13th Utah Tire Shop

New retail store will allow Utah’s largest independent local tire dealer to expand northern footprint along Utah’s Wasatch front.

(PRUnderground) September 23rd, 2020

For many residents of Northern Utah’s Wasatch Front, Burt Brothers has become a household name when it comes to car service. With retail stores in 12 locations stretching from Highland to Farmington, the family-owned Utah business offers tires and auto repair with a local touch. This month, they are taking steps to expand their presence with the groundbreaking for their northernmost store set to open in Layton next year.

Two brothers — Ron and Wendel Burt — started the business in 1991 in Bountiful. Their goal was to offer a one-stopnshop where Utah residents could get top quality tires and auto service from people who knew their names and were invested in their communities. Over time, the single Burt Brothers store has expanded up and down the Wasatch Front, but the Burt Brothers team prides itself in the same commitment to personalized, affordable service.

“The Burt Brothers motto has always been to treat every customer like they are the only one, and we aim for that in every aspect of our business,” said Jeremy Burt. Burt is one of five of Ron and Wendels’ sons who recently purchased the business to continue their fathers’ legacies.

Burt said that the company has been anxious to be closer to many of their loyal customers in the Layton area.

“We have people who drive from Layton to our Farmington location, but our new store will be much more convenient for them and will allow us to reach many more Layton residents,” said Burt.

The new store will have eight tire and service bays and three bay lube centers. Like Burt Brothers’ other locations, it will have ASE-certified technicians on staff and will offer an expansive inventory of tires from top manufactures like Firestone, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Kelly, Pirelli, Hankook, Michelin, BFGoodrich, Continental, and Fuzion.

Burt said that they have direct relationships with these tire manufacturers so they can offer prices that compete with nationwide retailers — but with a personal touch. “We’re in the sweet spot as the state’s biggest independent local tire dealer,” said Burt. “We have the leverage to negotiate great deals for our customers, but we’re tied to our communities in a way that big, national chains aren’t. Our local roots give us a unique understanding and connection with our customers,” said Burt.

Burt Brothers is known for their community service, including their support of the Bountiful Rotary Club’s “Coats for Kids” program and the “Teacher Feature” program through which they award a new car to the state’s best teachers.

The new Layton store will be located at 2020 West Antelope Drive and is projected to open in Spring 2021. Burt Brothers’ other auto service and tire stores are located in Riverton, Bountiful, Downtown Salt Lake City, Sugar House, Cottonwood, West Jordan, Sandy, Draper, Farmington, Highland, Park City Jeremy Ranch, and Silver Summit.
