As expected, the attendees at Comic-Con 2012 didn’t go thrifty with their ornate costumes. Whether riffing off films such as the Indiana Jones saga or video games such as Mega Man, these super-fans went all out with impressive costumes displaying their love for a niche community we conveniently call geek culture.
Comic-Con features exhibits, panel discussions and sneak peeks into much-anticipated media such as The Dark Knight Rises. Running until July 21, Comic-Con describes itself as “a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, comics and related popular art forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.”
Special guests in attendance this weekend include Shaquille O’Neal, Joss Whedon, and Dark Knight Rises producer Michael Uslan.
