NFL Fantasy Football: Week 6 quarterback rankings

Matt Ryan is on fire for the Atlanta Falcons, but this weeks game against Seattle isn’t ideal. In fact, if an owner has a decent backup, this could be a good week to make a change or possibly look for help off the waiver wire.

This weeks top-ranked QB is Ben Roethlisberger, who face a struggling Miami Dolphins defense. ‘Big Ben’ is averaging nearly 300 yards per contest in 2016 with 15 touchdowns and is one of the few players expected to score an easy 20+ points in week 6.

Tom Brady returned to action and never skipped a beat with his 400 yards against Cleveland. The Patriots passing game is clearly among the best in the league with the All Pro behind center and despite playing a decent Cincinnati squad this Sunday, look for another solid game and at least 20 points for fantasy football owners.

New Orleans have been much better at home than on the road and for that reason Drew Brees is expected to have a big week. The Saints veteran is averaging 317 yards per game with 10 touchdowns and against a banged up Panthers defense and the home crowd, even an average week will have Bress in the 20-25 point range.

Injuries and bye weeks play a big role in the game and having depth at quarterback is essential. For those owners who need some short-term help, the waiver wire in week 6 has some good options.

Brian Hoyer has been terrific for the Chicago Bears in place of Jay Cutler. The veteran backup three for nearly 400 yards and two scores on Sunday and has a favorable match up against Jacksonville this weekend.

For those looking for long-term help, NFL veteran Sam Bradford is doing a great job in Minnesota and despite having a bye themselves this week, it’s a great time to grab the Vikings quarterback as he can help with depth for the remainder of the season.
