Donal [her husband] suggested I keep a journal to make sure I accurately captured every moment,” Katie says. “The process was cathartic, even though I had to relive those difficult days of hallucinations, intense pain, and the sickness from radiation. But it’s worth it if anything I learned on my way to ‘remission’ helps someone else.”
