Emmy-nominated actor Zach Tinker chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos about “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem” and “Across The Room.”
On Saturday, September 25, Tinker participated virtual fan event for Spectrum Celebrity Events, which was hosted by Tony Moore from “Dishin’ Days.”
A portion of the proceeds benefits the nonprofit organization True Colors United, which addresses the issue of LGBTQ youth homelessness in the United States.
‘Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem’
For Tinker, playing the role of Sonny Kiriakis on the limited series “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.” “That was a blast,” he exclaimed. “I couldn’t have asked for better material to come into. I was really excited when I got the first few scripts and saw that I could emotion and it wasn’t just going to be dialogue-heavy. Then, I saw in the second half of the episodes that I would get to do drag scenes, and I knew that those were going to be fun.”
Tinker’s performance in “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem” was well-received from Digital Journal.
‘Across The Room’
Tinker enjoyed being a part of the critically-acclaimed short comedy “Across The Room,” which was directed by Mellinda Hensley, and written by Matt Clifford. “Mellinda and Matt are both hysterically funny, nice, and sweet human beings. It was really fun and low stakes,” he said. “We went to the restaurant (which was the set) and we filmed that in one day, so that was really fun.”
“Across The Room” earned a favorable review from Digital Journal, where it was hailed as “charming.” To learn more about “Across The Room,” follow its Twitter page and its IMDb page.
