Review: Rob Halford of Judas Priest refreshing on ‘Donner and Blitzen’ (Includes first-hand account)

It allows Halford’s rich, spitfire voice to shine, and it features a killer arrangement that is high-energy and entertaining. He is able to give his own original Christmas song the metal treatment and it works. Halford is able to get his fans and listeners in the Christmas spirit and it isn’t even Halloween yet.

Celestial, which will be released on October 18 ia Legacy Recordings, is available for pre-order on Apple Music and on Amazon Music. “Donner and Blitzen” is the second track featured on the collection.

The Verdict

Overall, Rob Halford delivers on “Donner and Blitzen,” which is rocking and fun. Judging from this song, Celestial is bound to be a real treat. Whether it is his musical work with Judas Priest or his solo work, Halford can never do any wrong. He proves that he is one of the most versatile vocalists out there in the contemporary hard rock and metal scene: a true musical icon. “Donner and Blitzen” garners an A rating.
