She co-wrote 11 out of the 12 tracks on the CD. Her album opens with the upbeat and infectious “Your Heart,” which is a strong track that instantly lures the listener into WildHorse. It is followed by the autobiographical title track cut “Wild Horse” and her sophisticated ballad and single “Love Triangle.”
Many of her listeners can relate to “Lonely Call,” and she sings about the break-up topic in a refreshing fashion. It immediately breaks into the up-tempo “Insecure” and nonchalant “The Apple.” Leeland Mooring lends his velvet voice on “Young,” which works out as a neat duet. She is able to start a spark with “Diamonds” and she shows her spitfire side on “Trigger.” The album closes with “Say,” a duet with country duo Dan + Shay and the moving ballad “Praying for Rain.”
The Verdict
Overall, RaeLynn has released an exceptional breakthrough album WildHorse. This should propel her to country super-stardom. The talent she showcases is immense, and her bubbly personality is displayed throughout this project. All of the songs have the potential to become radio singles. This debut studio effort garners five out of five stars. Congratulations RaeLynn.
