This extraordinary album opens on an ambient note with “The Nine Skies Intro,” and it is followed by the more aggressive “Bravo on the Go” and the infectious “Follow Me.”
“Who Are You” is a trance anthem that will certainly please his fans at live shows, while the hypnotic “Searching” transports the listeners to different realms.
“Running up That Hill” features the ethereal voice of Bev Wild. “Carbonado” has neat synths to it. Other stand-out tracks include “Edonismo,” “Eve’s Doorway,” “Cafe Del Mar,” “Future Shock.”
After “The Spirit of the Warrior,” the 19-track collection closes with the upbeat “The Ninth Sky” and a continuous mix of “The Nine Skies.”

Overall, Markus Schulz presents Dakota The Nine Skies is another well-crafted collection of electronic and trance songs. It is safe to say that Schulz never disappoints. With 19 songs, and over two hours and 25 minutes of music, Schulz could do no wrong. The Nine Skies is another keeper, and it garners an A rating.
