Jones noted that when he had entered the Britain’s Got Talent competition, his dream was to perform magic in front of a large stage, and last night, he had the privilege of standing there and performing for approximately 18 million people worldwide. “Thank you so much to everyone,” he said graciously. “We won!”
As a result, Jones becomes the first magician to ever win this reality competition. In last year’s season, British magician Jamie Raven, was the runner-up winner.
A 25-year-old soldier, Jones displayed his mind-reading and magic ability in his audition, with gifts for two of the four judges, that featured origami, a soda can turned into tea, and celebrityDavid Beckham.
In the second trick that he performed on the show, Jones was able to impress the judges and the audience with a trick that involved Amanda’s autobiography.
His final trick in the grand final involved a patriotic card, where he was able to tell the story of Fergus Anckorn through magic, which was sheer perfection.
A military magic man, Jones bested runner-up winner Wayne Woodward for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent crown.
