“Advice to Love By” is a witty and entertaining Hallmark film. Digital Journal has the recap.

It premiered on October 16 as part of the “Fall Harvest” programming event. Heather Hawthorn-Doyle directed the film from an impressive script by Erin Rodman.

Brooks Darnell stars in “Advice to Love By” opposite Erinn Westbrook (“Riverdale”), and they have great chemistry together.

Westbrook plays nationally renowned “love advice” author Kendall, who suffers a career plunge with the release of her new book. During a book signing, she runs into magazine writer Nathan (Brooks Darnell). What Kendall doesn’t know is that Nathan is her competition; he secretly pens the city’s go-to advice column under the name “The Dating Doc.”

The Verdict

Overall, “Advice to Love By” is a witty and entertaining movie on Hallmark. The performances are heartfelt, and it has a beautiful message in it. Compliments to director Heather Hawthorn-Doyle and screenwriter Erin Rodman for bringing this film to life. It garners four out of five stars. Well done.
