Review: Barbra Streisand stuns on ‘Any Moment Now’ duet with Hugh Jackman (Includes first-hand account)

It is a track from her forthcoming studio album, ENCORE: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, which will be out on August 26, via Columbia Records.

Jackman took on the male duet part on “Any Moment Now” and was able to deliver his charismatic vocal, while Streisand proves to be one true song stylist. Their voices blend well, together and they help produce one memorable vocal event. “Any Moment Now” garners an A rating, and if the rest of her new album is anything like this collaboration, then her fans and listeners are in for a real treat.

Throughout her illustrious career in the music industry, Streisand has had 33 albums make the Top 10 on the Billboard charts, thus making her the sole female artist to have achieved this milestone — and also tying Frank Sinatra for total albums to reach the charts. With ten albums, Streisand holds the record for the most No. 1 albums in Billboard history by a female recording artist. She has earned two Oscars, five Emmy awards, ten Golden Globes, eight Grammy awards and two special Grammys, as well as a special Tony award in 1970, making her a true national treasure.

In addition, the acclaimed songstress is a philanthropist who works tirelessly to fight for what she believes in. She founded the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai, and co-founded the Women’s Heart Alliance, where she helps to raise awareness for more research in women’s heart disease, which is the leading cause of death among women.

On August 11 and 13, Streisand will be performing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, as part of her North American tour, which is presented by Live Nation Global Touring and S2BN Entertainment. For more information on her tour dates, click here.
