This musical effort was originally scheduled to be released in August of 2017, however, it was put on hold at Lynn was recovering from a stroke that she had suffered in May of 2017. This forthcoming album has been described as one of the most “deeply personal album” of Lynn’s career. This album is a demonstration of Lynn’s enduring strength and the stories that she shares in these songs. Lynn shared the audio of the opening, title track with her fans.
Due to her stroke last May, Lynn went on to cancel all of her touring dates for last year, and the release of her album got delayed. In a press statement, the country queen noted that she had to focus on her health, and they decided to hold up its release. Lynn shared that she is in good spirits and she is looking forward to its release. Lynn is “excited to celebrate” with everybody.
Wouldn’t It Be Great is made up of songs that were penned or co-penned by Lynn herself; moreover, it communicates the hard truths, as well as the spiritual insights Lynn has gathered throughout her life and it is a reflection of her resilience. It will be officially released on September 28 via Sony Legacy. Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash served as co-producers of the project.
The 13-track album is available for pre-order on iTunes, and on Amazon.
