Actor and producer Andrew Gray spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence (AI) in the future of the entertainment business.
He is known for playing the Red Power Ranger Troy Burrows in “Power Rangers Megaforce” and for being a part of “Bling Empire.”
Artificial intelligence
“There are pros and cons to AI just like everything else that operates in chaos and order,” he said. “If we have it in a way that is reciprocal and beneficial for most parties, then it is going to make sense. It is never going to be able to create art with emotion.”
“If you are broken, and you feel shattered, and you transform that through writing, then there will be a transformation. That’s what art is… and AI will never be able to do that,” he said.
“At the end of the day, is art needed? Yes, it is necessary and vital. It is an expression of who we are,” Gray acknowledged. “AI will make it probably faster, cheaper, and it can sell it at a similar rate. What will prevail? The human condition in art and emotion or greed? AI has advantages and disadvantages just like everything else.”
Favorite mottos to live by
Gray also shared some of his favorite mottos to live by. “Be ashamed to die unless until you’ve won some victory for mankind,” he said. “Also, tomorrow is not promised… You don’t have to, you get to! That has always resonated with me from the first time that I heard it, and it’s a beautiful thing to finish something.”

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Gray said, “Let’s fly.”
Superpower of choice
If he were to have any superpower, he noted that he would love to have “all of the knowledge from his ancestors.” “Imagine how much wisdom and intelligence you would have that way. You can look at life from such a different perspective that way,” he said.
Success
On his definition of the word success, Gray said, “God, family, and country. That’s success.” “A strong relationship with my heavenly father, a strong relationship with my family and my community,” he explained.
