The band had parted ways with singer and guitar player Shim Moore back in October of 2014, and they are ready for the next step in their musical journey.
In December of 2015, Sick Puppies shared a video teaser of a studio performance with a new singer, but they hid his identity. He is Houston-based singer and guitarist Bryan Scott, and he joins fellow band-mates Emma Anzai on bass and Mark Goodwin on drums.
Throughout his musical career, Scott has played with Dev Electric and Glass Intrepid, and he toured with rock group Emphatic (Atlantic Records) back in 2011.
In a press statement, Scott noted that as soon as he found out about the change of the trio’s line-up, he reached out to Mark and Emma and they had a great chemistry together. He flew out to Los Angeles to audition the next morning, and the rest is history.
Emma and Mark were pleased with their decision, and stated that they knew he would be “a great fit.” “His audition of ‘Odd One’ and ‘You’re Going Down’ was on point and from there the music progressed naturally,” they said.
Their latest song “Stick to Your Guns” will arrive in March, and their forthcoming album will be released later in the spring.
