Brett Eldredge up for 2015 ACM ‘New Artist of the Year’

Eldredge is joined by seven other country acts, all of which are male artists. His fellow nominees include Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, country duo Dan + Shay, Kip Moore, Tyler Farr and Chase Rice.

An Atlantic Nashville recording artist, Eldredge’s latest single “Mean To Me” is already a Top 10 hit on country radio. His two previous singles, “Beat of the Music” and “Don’t Ya” both reached No. 1 on the Billboard country charts.

Speaking of “Beat of the Music,” it was named “Song of the Year” at the inaugural ACC awards, as Digital Journal reported.

These eight semifinalists will be narrowed down to the final three “New Artist of the Year” nominees in the coming weeks. The 50th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards will take place on April 19, 2015 and it will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m.
