Up to 45,000 wild horses face slaughter by the U.S. government Special

Thousands of America's iconic wild horses may be headed to slaughter at the hands of the U.S. government; some herds may face extinction. Oil, mining and cattle interests are driving down the wild horse population and the space left for them to roam.

US BLM accused of selling wild horses at slaughter auction

Reno - The ongoing battle in the United States over the round-up of wild horses, an attempt by the Bureau of Land Management to control the population, has taken a new turn after a group accused the government of auctioning wild horses for slaughter.
