The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people not to eat certain No Name beef burgers and beef steakettes that were distributed nationally because they may be contaminated with E. coli.


The public is being warned not to consume certain ground beef products which bear the establishment number 761 because they may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.


A national recall of beef products that may be contaminated by E. coli O157: H7 was prompted by an illness in Alberta linked to products from a Saskatoon company.


At least 24 people in New Brunswick are sick with symptoms of suspected E. coli infection, including eight who are in hospital, but the source of the outbreak remains unclear.


Health officials in New Brunswick are still trying to determine the cause of an E. coli outbreak in the province, which has infected at least 11 people.
