Patrick Molloy, a Winnipegger who beat the odds by surviving an aggressive form of tongue cancer, took his fight to the boxing ring on Saturday night.


Winnipegger Patrick Molloy has endured 30 rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, spent 30 days in hospital, and gone six months of being unable to speak.

Seventeen-year-old J.T. Gaskins was suspended from Madison Academy in Michigan for having hair that did not comply with the school's rules for how long boys can grow their hair. But Gaskins is sporting the shaggy hairdo for a very specific reason—as a leukemia survivor, he is determined to donate his hair to Locks of Love.
