Alternative rock band, KONGOS, originally from South Africa, excels on their single and music video for "Come With Me Now."

The alternative rock group is made up of four brothers: Johnny, Jesse, Dylan and Daniel Kongos. They grew up in such cities as London and South Africa. They recently got signed to the major record label, Epic Records.
Their single has distinct accordion instrumentation and an addicting stomp. Mid-way through the song, Dylan displays his prowess on steel guitar. Their raspy vocals are crisp and unique, and far different than anything else on the mainstream radio airwaves, especially since it has a Kwaito vibe to it (a musical genre that originated in Johannesburg, South Africa). It was written solely by Johnny Kongos, and it is a track on their album Lunatic.
One of its standout lyrics is as follows: "I was born without this fear, Now only this seems clear, I need to move, I need to fight, I need to lose myself tonight," the four brothers sing.
"Come With Me Now" has already topped the Billboard Alternative Rock Songs charts, as well as the South African charts, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the music scene; moreover, it peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs charts, and it sits at No. 2 for the week ending June 21.
The Verdict
"Come With Me Now" is a keeper. I would not be surprised if KONGOS garner a Grammy nomination in the "Best New Artist" category, to the very least, at next year's award show. Their music is distinct and will clearly stand out in the minds of voters. The song garners an A- rating.
