The incident happened happened back in June but the indictment was handed up just a few weeks ago. Authorities said the man, identified as Joseph Greenwood, 45, took the summons that an officer handed him and wiped his rectum with it.
After Greenwood wiped himself with the summons, he proceeded to toss it at the officer. After that, Greenwood was eventually indicted on a fourth-degree charge of throwing body fluids.
Most cases that involve someone being charged with a fourth-degree crime end with the person getting probation. However, Greenwood faces a possible 18-month jail sentence.
Greenwood was given the summons after he was released on a charge of threatening to assault another person. A few months later, Greenwood was charged with disorderly conduct and making threats to kill another person. Those charges are still pending and he will appear in court to face those charges at a later date.
