Indio - On midnight Thursday, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival officially announced its 2014 lineup. One of their headliners features a reunion that will have hip-hop fans salivating.
That reunion involves Andre 3000 and Big Boi, playing for the first time as OutKast since their unofficial hiatus in 2007 following the album Idlewild. Rumours began swirling in late 2013 that the duo were reuniting, but that news is now confirmed.
OutKast will headline on Friday, April 11 and 18.
Though OutKast will certainly be the biggest draw, the other two days' headliners are no small fish. Saturday, April 12 and 19 will feature performances from arena-rock greats Muse, and Sunday, April 13 and 20 will see Arcade Fire bring some glitz and glamour.
Other high-profile attendees include Lana Del Rey, the Replacements, Ellie Goulding, Beck, Neutral Milk Hotel, Pharell, Lorde and many, many more.
Remaining tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PST, as many were sold last May during a pre-sale.
The L.A. Times notes that Coachella is seen as the beginning of the summer music festival season, and also rakes in the most money. Last year, the festival brought in $67 million.
