Review: Sick Puppies soar on new studio album ‘Fury’ (Includes first-hand account)

The album opens with an explicit version of the upbeat and spitfire “Black & Blue” and it is followed by the unapologetic “Stick To Your Guns,” which was a strong choice for a lead single.

“Let Me Live” has a liberating vibe to it, while the melodically-stunning “Where Do I Begin” is a beautiful ballad on the collection, which showcases their soft side.

“Just The Beginning” is impressive from a lyrical standpoint, and “Walls (You Changed)” features gorgeous, breathy vocals from bassist Emma Anzai. They pick up the pace of the CD with “Killing Time,” and equally noteworthy and uptempo is “Earth To You.”

“Beautiful Chaos” is more mid-tempo and rocking. The CD closes with “If I Stay” and “Here With You.”

The Verdict

Overall, Sick Puppies deliver on their latest studio effort Fury. New lead singer Bryan Scott triumphs on the lead vocals. It garners 4 out of 5 stars.
