Margaret Cho to release new studio album ‘American Myth’

This marks her first album of new music in six years, and it will be released independently on her label, Clownery Records. The songs on the album were written in such cities as Atlanta and Los Angeles, as well as on the road, and recorded with Garrison Starr in Koreatown. The CD includes such songs as “Come With Me,” “Ron’s Got a DUI,” “Topaz,” “Gentleman Jim,” “Moran and Miiri,” “Beautiful in L.A.,” “Daddy I Miss You,” which is a tribute for fathers, “Georgia Sky,” as well as her feisty “Fat Pussy,” which is an anthem for “fat pride” according to Cho; moreover, Cho pays homage to the late Anna Nicole Smith with “Anna Nicole,” which she describes as her version of “Candle in the Wind.”

In addition, Cho’s album includes two bonus tracks such as the serious “Kill My Rapist” and “We So Worry.”

The esteemed comedian will be embarking on a tour with her ever-evolving comedy show. For more information on Margaret Cho and her 2016 touring schedule, check out her official website.
