Review: Mark Schultz mind-blowing on ‘Prince of Pennsylvania’ documentary (Includes first-hand account)

Mark Schultz reveals the truth behind the wrestling industry, and how it was far from the glitz and glamour that most people believe it is, and how it differs drastically from other countries in the world. It explores the trials and tribulations that an amateur wrestler had to go through in the 80s, to achieve an Olympic dream, as well as the madness of eccentric millionaire John du Pont.

Unlike the feature film Foxcatcher, The Prince of Pennsylvania has a lot more factual information about the lives of Mark and Dave Schultz.

The tragic ending of this documentary is destined to chill viewers to the bone. It is one of those endings that will shatter one’s heart. The moving commentary from Schultz’ parents and Mark’s memorial service speech for his late brother, Dave, will leave one in a sea of tears.

The Verdict

Mark Schultz is able to outdo himself on this new documentary, The Prince of Pennsylvania, since it is told from his viewpoint, and the archive footage and testimonies are all raw and authentic. Mark will command his viewers’ attention for the entire 50 minutes run-time. He showcases a great deal of heart. It is a fitting homage for his late brother, Dave. This documentary garners an A+ rating.
