Olympian Mark Schultz talks Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame (Includes interview)

On July 23, the two-time world and Olympic champion will be officially inducted into the 2015 Class of the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame, and the ceremony will be held at the San Mateo County Convention Center in San Mateo, California.

Regarding his latest career achievement, Schultz remarked, “I’m humbled and honored to be inducted into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame with such a distinguished class of athletes, coaches, and administrators. I’m grateful they chose to induct my well-deserving brother world and Olympic wrestling champion, Dave Schultz, as a distinguished member as well.”

Most recently, as Digital Journal reported, he addressed the 2015 Asia Pacific Trade Summit in China.

His life was the subject of the Oscar-nominated feature film, Foxcatcher, starring such actors as Channing Tatum (as Mark), Mark Ruffalo (as Dave), Steve Carell, Vanessa Redgrave and Sienna Miller.

Schultz is also the author of the sports biography, Foxcatcher, which was a New York Times best-selling book.
