On being a part of the reboot on Netflix, he said, “It was probably the best experience I’ve had working so far! Everyday was like being at camp with your friends. I worked with the most amazing cast of actors and the best group of kids that are now my really good friends.”
He noted that he had the chance to work with such actors as Paul Rudd and Molly Shannon. “It was hilarious and exciting everyday. I can’t wait for everyone to see it,” he said.
Regarding his experience on Preacher this year, he said, “Preacher was really cool! The show is based on a comic book series and will be like no other on TV. I got to go to New Mexico for two weeks and I worked with Seth Rogen and Dominic Cooper. Seth Rogen directed me and he was awesome,” he said.
He was also in The New Normal, Grey’s Anatomy, The Thundermans and Anger Management. “All of these roles were so very different from each other, which is what I think made me grow as an actor. Grey’s was probably was the most different role of all. It was a much more serious role for me than the rest and I had never played a character like that before. Being on the show for two months taught me a lot,” he said.
His future plans are to continue acting, because he enjoys it very much and to keep working hard. For acting hopefuls, he said, “If you love acting to keep working hard at it and take classes, do plays, and follow your dreams.”
When asked what motivates him each day, he responded, “Knowing how far I’ve come with acting in the last few years and what projects I’ve had the chance to work on. I haven’t been doing this all that long, but I’ve had some really great experiences and I’d love to do more.”
He was inspired to go into acting thanks to his sister. “She’s really been my biggest influence. She started young and I saw how much fun she had working and I sort of just followed along. My favorite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s amazing,” he said.
