The show follows Kenny, as well as his wife, Christiev, and their sons, Dakota, Lincoln, Christopher and Cameron, as they navigate home life, while he is on a break from his touring schedule. “I am super-excited,” Big Kenny said. “I have always wanted to capture a moment in my life with my kids and my family.”
He added, “When all is said and done, it came out as a great home movie, and it turned out super-funny. I didn’t know what it was going to be like. It brought out the tone that I was hoping to get. It is funny and inspiring and something that the whole family could watch together.”
When asked how Big Kenny balances it all, a family and a full-time music career, he said, “That is a daily task, really. It depends on what is getting thrown at us. It’s a learning lesson every day, but you have to prioritize and make things important. The family always works with me and they understand about my job. When I come home, I try to focus on the kids, and make sure I put some time into everyone. It’s something that I try to get better at every day.”
His latest single, “Run Away With You” with Big & Rich is a Top 25 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, and climbing. “It is getting ready to break the Top 20 on our own record label, so the balance thing has gotten even more difficult, because now we are executives of our own record label, Big & Rich Records. We keep making it work and we keep a smile on everybody’s face,” Big Kenny said. “It is so cool to have it playing on radio stations all around the country and all around the world.”
Aside from having success in his musical career, Big Kenny’s proudest accomplishments include making a difference in other people’s lives. “Success means that I’ve done something with my life, from helping to get schools built all over the world, to helping to feed kids in our country, and to helping kids get healthcare, and doing a project with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The list goes on and on and on. Every year, I have been able to just achieve more and more with it,” he concluded.
