Doctors find huge spider in woman’s ear after she napped outside

The woman, Lekshmi L, went to the Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal, India, complaining of headaches and a tingling sensation in her head. Doctors examined her and discovered the spider.

Lekshmi said she was terrified because she could feel the movement of the spider. She said she was petrified when the doctor told her there was a living spider in her ear.

Dr. Santosh Shivaswamy said it was one thing to remove a foreign object from someone’s ear, but another thing to remove a living creature. He continued to say that this was especially the case when the patient knows what it is.

The doctor said when a creature makes its way inside an ear, it can make the procedure difficult to perform because of the patient’s anxiety. However, in this case, the spider left the ear on its own.

The spider was coaxed out by a light. In the video, the creature can be seen following the light and slowly making its way out of the ear.

Not the first time it has happened
This isn’t the first time a spider has been found inside a person’s ear. A few years ago in Xiamen, a woman sought medical attention because she kept hearing noises only she could hear. Upon examination, doctors found a spider in her ear canal.

In that case, the woman received ear drops to subdue the spider. They then removed it with a pair of tweezers.
