ZDNet and Multimate.net Tango in Wireless Evening Gowns

Multimate.net announced recently that ZDNet (NYSE: ZDZ), which operates
the leading Web destination for people who want to buy, use, and learn
about technology, has joined the IR Network to create a co-branded ZDNet
IR Client featured on the new ZDNet Web surfers’ power tools site
(zdnet.com/downloads/powertools). With nearly ten million monthly
visitors, ZDNet has the largest and most loyal technology- interested
audience on the Web.

“Multimate.net welcomes ZDNet and its millions of loyal viewers to the
rapidly growing IR Network,” said Multimate.net Vice President of
Product Development, Mark Frieser. “Leveraging the IR Network, our
co-branded client will empower ZDNet with the tools necessary to extend
the reach and brand of
their Web sites, while growing their community into new markets
worldwide.”

Multimate.net and ZDNet developed the co-branded ZDNet IR client with a
“skin” that resembles the look, feel and functionality of the ZDNet Web
site. Once ZDNet visitors download the ZDNet application of IR from
ZDNet Downloads, they can meet and interact with other ZDNet IR Client
users. The ZDNet
IR Client creates an outlet for expressing opinions on a specific
subject, and supplements ZDNet’s wealth of product reviews and articles
with advice from other ZDNet visitors. ZDNet IR Client users also can
create “Buddy Lists” and communicate instantly with their friends and
colleagues whenever they are logged onto the Internet. The ZDNet IR
Client also let users send and receive messages through WAP enabled
(Wireless Access Protocol) cellular phone and PDA devices.
