Manny Pacquiao joins Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas

Pacquiao and his entourage took his recreational vehicle from Los Angeles that led a convoy of about 100 other cars to the desert city with a brief stopover at a burger joint on I-15.

At the Mandalay Bay, where he and his team are billeted, fans awaiting his arrival waved flags with 47-1 imprints referencing Mayweather‘s potential first career loss.

Pacquiao won’t be having the usual arrival ceremony at the MGM Grand originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 but will have his own gathering at the Mandalay Bay at 11 a.m.

Before boarding for Las Vegas, Pacquiao said he isn’t only targeting a KO win but he intends to win every round leading to a 12-round win on points.

‘I’m not really looking for a knock-out,’ Pacquiao said. ‘We’re not looking only for a knock-out, but for throwing a lot of punches, and also making sure that every round, we’re ahead on points.’

Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach shared his fighter’s plan, saying he wants Pacquiao to outscore Mayweather by throwing tons of punches.

‘You can beat Floyd Mayweather if you outwork him and never give him a chance to do the things he does best,’ he said.

“Manny is punching real hard, but I want him to outscore (Mayweather) in every round. I think we can win a 12-round decision. We want to throw a ton of punches,” Roach added.

Roach believes Mayweather will mix it up with Pacquiao on fight night and he prays that he does because Pacquiao won’t hesitate to fight him toe-to-toe.
