Using Custom Stickers to Market Your Business

In today’s marketing world it can be hard to get noticed.  Online marketing is becoming more competitive while print, radio, and TV marketing is becoming more limited.  Sticker marketing can be a great way to stand out from the clutter.  It’s a proven method that’s been used by corporations, small businesses, artists, and politicians for decades.

Custom vinyl stickers are great because they can be placed anywhere. For example, 6 inch round stickers have a strong visual impact. Vinyl stickers are durable so they can last for years, even outdoors.  They can be placed on cars, windows, computers, water bottles and more – making them a fantastic low-cost marketing tool.

What’s more, custom stickers can drive “impressions” where other media types can’t.  Stickers allow your brand to go beyond typical marketing avenues. Visibility on cars or backpacks, laptop computers and water bottles give your brand visibility to a different audience.

Stickers Have Value to Customers

Quality stickers have a higher perceived value than other printed promotional items such as brochures and business cards. Flyers, printed inserts, and the likes are generally discarded almost as soon as they’re received.  On the other hand, a sticker with a quality design is much less likely to be thrown away.

Giving stickers out by hand, or by mail (for example included with ecommerce orders) makes people feel like they are getting something extra.  It drives brand connection, and it also serves as a reminder of your brand.  Anytime that customer sees your sticker they’ll be reminded of your product or service.

Sticker Marketing Ideas

  1. Product Labels

You can label just about anything with stickers.  From food and beverage products to almost any consumer-packaged-good.  Customers judge products by their packaging, and creative labeling can boost your product.

  1. Branding Merchandise

Many businesses use branded merchandise as giveaways at events.  For instance, you can give away water bottles, or mugs, and brand them with custom stickers.  You can also give away die-cut stickers.  Die cut stickers look fantastic and can create buzz for the attendees.

  1. Sticker Seals

If you are selling a physical product, consider sealing your packages with a sticker that showcases your logo.

You can also create “thank you” stickers that have a short message such as “Thank you for supporting my small business,” along with your social media links.

  1. Window Stickers

If you have a storefront, you can apply sticker decals to your windows and glass doors. This can help make it easier to find your business, but it can also attract visitors who simply happen to see your branding.

You can also share information on these stickers such as social media handles, special offers, and key products and services.

  1. QR Code Stickers

QR code stickers make it easier than ever for customers to be directed to your website.  You can embed the QR code in a fancy design that makes the customer want to check it out.  Or, you can encourage scanning the QR code by offering discounts or giveaways.  For example, you could create a QR sticker that says, “scan here for 25% off.”

Stickers are a tried-and-true marketing tool.  Virtually any marketing campaign can be boosted with the smart use of stickers.
