Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 26-28, 2021, the Museum of Commerce was transformed into a Christmas wonderland. Trees and wreaths, decorated by local designers, were on display throughout the Museum of Commerce’s turn-of-the-century street scene, creating a winter wonderland from days gone by in Historic Pensacola Village. Each tree and wreath was available for purchase or online auction bidding with proceeds supporting the WSRE-TV Foundation. The carpet cleaning experts designed 2 special trees for the public to bid on in the fundraiser.
The Festival of Trees was scheduled in conjunction with the kickoff of Pensacola Winterfest and was located next to the Cajun Christmas performance in Historic Pensacola Village. Admission was free and the fundraiser was open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Bidding in the auction took place online at https://www.wsre.org/events/festival-of-trees-2021/ beginning Thanksgiving night, Thursday the 25th.
