Latest offering meets growing healthcare stakeholder demand for switching medical clearinghouses

PECOS, NM / ACCESSWIRE / March 21, 2024 / Claim.MD, a leading electronic data interchange (EDI) clearinghouse which streamlines the billing and collection process for providers, payers and software vendors, today announced the launch of a Rapid Onboarding Program to better accommodate healthcare providers needing to immediately change to a new medical clearinghouse. The program offers providers a self-guided onboarding process enabling them to sign up and begin billing through a new medical clearinghouse in as few as 15 minutes.

Claim.MD's Rapid Onboarding program launches in support of recent efforts by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and many payers to aid healthcare providers. On March 9, 2024, CMS launched Change Healthcare/Optum Payment Disruption (CHOPD) accelerated payments to Part A providers and advance payments to Part B suppliers experiencing claims disruptions as a result of a cyberattack at the large clearinghouse in late February.

"We recognize how recent revenue cycle disruptions have affected operations at thousands of facilities of all sizes, preventing many healthcare providers from submitting claims and receiving Medicare claims payments. This can lead to significant cash flow problems in an industry with very little margin for error," said Rob Stuart, founder and president, Claim.MD. "Our new Rapid Onboarding Program will have an immediate and significant impact on the way providers can change to a new medical clearinghouse and resume claims processing during and after these outages."

The Rapid Onboarding program offers a payer list that identifies payers unaffected by the recent cyberattack, a Quick Start Guide with videos and tutorials, and simple online payer enrollments. Claim.MD's EDI clearinghouse enables healthcare providers to securely control electronic medical claim transactions from filing to payment - reducing costly staff time to research and correct rejected claims. When follow-up with a payer is necessary, Claim.MD simplifies the process with a complete and readable claim history that can be printed for proof of timely filing.

Claim.MD has achieved the HITRUST Risk-based, 2-Year (r2) Validated Assessment, DirectTrust HNAP EHN Accreditation, CAQH CORE Certification, SOC 2 Type 2 Certification, and TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification.
