New Creator App TapMob is Empowering TikTok Influencers to Become Entrepreneurs

A new app for TikTok influencers is already making waves—and money for its users. As competition for social media talent heats up among the major platforms, startup TapMob.io has completely rethought the creator monetization experience by making it simple, fun, and rewarding. It works by enabling influencers themselves to match exclusive offers and brands with their audiences. Influencers are then rewarded whenever one of their fans takes advantage of the deal or downloads the advertiser’s app.

“We are actively building a community for all creators where everyone can mingle together and grow,” says TapMob creator Nate Co. “We plan to open the platform up to micro-influencers as well. We will soon have a learning center where they can get tips on branding and TikTok growth.”

According to Orlando, Florida-based influencer agency Izea, creator ad revenue fell by one-third during Covid, while, according to SignalFire, 50 million people around the globe will soon consider themselves creators. Ad rates may be down, but sponsorship and affiliate marketing are still hot. This is where TapMob.io is carving out its niche by connecting creators directly with brands and advertisers to promote their products, rather than allowing platforms to do it for them, as is the practice on Facebook, TikTok and Youtube. Creators not only choose their offers, they choose when and how they get paid. And because it’s 2022, creators can view their stats in real-time on an interactive dashboard.

Co says that his app has taken an increasingly stressful and competitive business and made it fun and rewarding by game-ifying the process. When influencers reach certain achievements in the app, they can unlock certain privileges, such as access to contests and prizes. TapMob also projects a leaderboard with monthly contests. “One benefit to our technology is that it allows influencers to monetize a worldwide audience,” Co observes. “Promoting for TapMob.io makes you eligible to win random rewards like iPads and cash prizes on top of your earnings.”

Ultimately, TapMob hopes to disrupt the influencer space by helping creators get paid more, both in dollars and frequency. Where, for example, YouTube creators are paid only once they reach a certain threshold or monthly, TapMob’s influencers can choose to be paid every 1-2 days. This may prove to be a competitive advantage, as creators skew heavily to the Gen Z and Millennial generations, both of which grew up on a diet of instant gratification.

“Normally, influencers have to wait around for brand deals but new TapMob influencers now have a platform to connect big and get paid instantly,” Co observes. “We’re building a community that currently boasts 3,000 TikTokers and has doled out $1.4M in influencer payouts thus far. We’ve actually had multiple clients leave their full-time jobs to pursue a career as a creator through the app, so that’s quite an endorsement of our strategy.

Co says that TapMob welcomes agencies using their technology in order to create a steady flow of brand deals to their influencer-users, but for now, TapMob.io is currently by invitation only. More information and updates will be available at http://tapmob.io.
