Meet Kyle Elliot, the Creator Economy’s Poster Boy for Success in a New Age

There’s no doubt that TikTok has become a force to be reckoned with. But what exactly gives it this power? The answer – Generation Z. Over 60% of TikTokers are those born after 1996. One of the most expressive generations yet, Generation Z typically retain high levels of education, digital nativism, and a diverse social and cultural awareness.

Whilst their Millennial counterparts fuelled the rise of earlier social media platforms through their preference to be consumers, Generation Z prefer to see themselves as a generation of content creators, fuelling the continuing rise of TikTok.

One of Generation Z’s significant attributes is the need and ability to express individual truth. Despite varying socioeconomic backgrounds, members of this generation reject stereotypes put in place by generations before and remain fearless in openly valuing individual identities.

Reflecting this, Gen Z embraces change and fluidity, seeking to connect with those of different groups with similar causes and interests.

The growth of personalized products and personal brands that has been fuelled by Generation Z’s values is therefore unsurprising when you think about it. Forcing industries to find creative ways to tap into their consumer markets has left the door wide open for TikTok content creators to shine and rise above the rest.

One such creator is Kyle Elliot. At 19 years old, Kyle is a member of the generation fearlessly challenging social norms through sharing knowledge through content. “My goal is to entertain whilst educating,” Kyle says.

Combining his skills in content creation with his passion for all things money and entrepreneurship, Kyle has built an impressive following on TikTok composed of like-minded individuals. “It’s been a crazy ride so far,” says Kyle.

I’ve obtained so much knowledge in producing massive social growth in a short amount of time – 400k followers in the last 60 days, 250k in the last 28 days, and 110k in the last 7 days, with one of those days being 40k in 24 hours,” he says.

Whether it’s for casual entertainment or formal education, Generation Z often prefers to consume content in rich video formats. With a TikTok following of over 1 million, it’s easy to see why users are flocking to Kyle’s channel

Creating authentic and entertaining videos, his passion for teaching others all the ways you can make money online really shines through. Turning his passion into a full-time business, Kyle is a huge advocate for others doing the same. “I have a huge passion for the Creator Economy, content businesses, and I’m so incredibly lucky that helping others do the same thing is something I’ve been able to do,” Kyles states.

TikTok’s exponential growth can’t be viewed merely as the success of a tech company, but more importantly, the next generation’s ongoing success of ushering in more socially aware and inclusive digital creators and consumers.

Incredibly creators and users alike have turned a social media platform (often a huge source of stress and insecurity for many) into a place where raw authenticity is celebrated and sought out.
