LIV-LIFE Is Crowdfunding the First Eco-Village for Remote Workers on the Stunning Beaches of Sumbawa

Creating a community, and reducing carbon emissions while living in affordable luxury, is a dream come true. Remote Work is disrupting the way we live; let’s make it fun.

LIV-LIFE is a concept designed by Julien Uhlig and the Team of EX Venture, currently raising funds on WeFunder to finance the foundation of an innovative eco-village, especially for remote workers on the beautiful beaches of Sumbawa, Indonesia.

Covid has accelerated the adoption of remote work, and now, many companies’ staff refused to return to the office. Modern technology is disrupting not only the way we work but the way we live. Once remote work becomes the norm, living next to offices and factories is no longer needed, competing for limited childcare and housing, among others. Especially young professionals with children struggle to find affordable housing in the metropolitan areas of San Francisco or New York.

So why not pack your belongings and move to a beach? We asked the question; it turns out that most remote workers have not made the leap yet, and are still adjusting to the newfound freedom.
LIV-LIFE makes joining a global community of like-minded people easier, putting community, affordability, and sustainability first. Expanding on the Digital Nomad community of the tropical island of Bali, the company offers affordable accommodation and services that make expat life a lot easier and enjoyable—supporting Members with housing, events, legal, insurance, and tax support.

Remote workers are becoming a new travel category with its own needs. They don’t have the time to search for Wifi spots, and their life, including childcare, has to work. Also, compared to tourists, there are huge differences; while tourists might prefer exclusivity, the members of LIV-Life are looking for community. It is vital to make new connections fast, share the same language, and can inspire each other in the lack of an office environment.

LIV-LIFE started investing in Bali properties with the first land plot in the Digital Nomad hub of Canggu in 2022; the land prices have increased drastically. Prices in Bali are not realistic anymore to design an affordable beachfront community; the team is venturing out to the neighboring Island of Sumbawa. Most recently, a property of up to 60 Hectares has been secured. This new community will be designed around the principles of a circular economy, testing how much our carbon footprint can be reduced while improving the quality of life.

With Enduring Harvest, a US-based Impact Non-For Profit, the first agreements have been put in place to start the development of a permaculture farm that serves to feed the new village with organic produce and meat products, as well as an educational hub for sustainable farming in Indonesia. Another US Based company ZERO-X will expand its successful waste-to-energy operations from Bali to Sumbawa to drastically reduce carbon emissions from waste treatment while replacing fossil fuels with 100% renewable energy from waste and solar.

First Beach Front Land plots are available for purchase to like-minded investors, and investment is open at https://wefunder.com/ex.venture.inc/
