Ethical GmbH, a Swiss company providing software solutions and services for clinical research with a focus on Expert Committees, has developed a Zoom Meetings connector for its eAdjudication® platform. Added to the platform meeting tool, the innovative connector supports the GxP-compliance of Adjudication Committee meetings organized as part of clinical trials management.

The challenge of endpoint adjudication meetings

The clinical endpoint adjudication process involves many important meetings such as kick-offs, experts training and consensus meetings. The proper planning, preparation, conduct and follow-up of those meetings is part of the quality management of the study and can become an additional challenge for clinical teams who therefore need solutions to prepare them quickly and efficiently, and keep all related documents in a safe and easily accessible repository.

Reduce workload and improve team efficiency

eAdjudication® is fitted with a planning tool designed to minimize the burden associated with meetings management. A pre-loaded template makes it easy to set up meetings, invite attendees and attach the agenda or, in the case of a consensus meeting, include the list of cases to be discussed. In addition, eAdjudication® makes it easy to keep track of all other activities, such as updating shared documents or changing meetings dates. Finally, the platform allows users to store key documents like agendas, slides or minutes for reference and future use.

Enhance GxP compliance

The Zoom connector integration extends the eAdjudication® meeting capabilities by allowing users to send Zoom invitations directly from within the platform and to automatically file video / audio recordings and transcriptions along with the other meeting documents, providing easy access to all the necessary information for writing reports or documenting the important decisions.

Future innovations

Ethical is working on adding connectors with other widely used conferencing platforms such as MS Teams and Google Meets, which will be available in the near future.

Mimmo Garibbo, Director of Ethical GmbH said: “At Ethical, we are very excited about our new eAdjudication® Zoom connector. Our clients will continue to save lots of time in meeting preparation and follow-up by being able to manage even more of their meetings activities from within the platform. Furthermore, they will improve GxP compliance by being able to document important decisions related to the trial endpoint adjudication. With this significant innovation, Ethical is one big step further towards our goal of making endpoint adjudication a pain-free process”.
