Ahmed Elbatrawy: finding purpose in entrepreneurship

Born in Egypt on August 25,1971, Ahmed Elbatrawy emigrated to the US in 1994 and graduated from Full Sail University with a BFA degree in Music Technology. But his career would become focused on real estate and he cut his sales teeth in Timeshare vacation ownership.

Like many arrivals in a new country, Elbatrawy faced many challenges when he came to America. These steeled him to strive for success.

“I was alone in a new country and I had to make a living. I constantly needed to prove myself. I had to learn how to be a leader and how to be number one,” he says.

Ten years ago, Elbatrawy experienced a pivotal moment in his life. He became seriously ill and this motivated him to share his knowledge and help others achieve the sort of success he had enjoyed.

I wanted to change the world and leave a legacy. I wanted to teach as many agents as possible how to be successful,” he says.

Elbatrawy gives back through his agency, Engel & Volkers Orlando, making regular donations to the Ronald McDonald House charities.

A digital age entrepreneur

Ahmed Elbatrawy is the CEO of Florida-based Platform Leaders LLC, which will be launching a digital innovation – homes.com.eg – in 2022. Elbatrawy’s vision is set to connect people with their dream homes from anywhere in the world by combining his expertise as a realtor with the latest technological advancements in search algorithms.

The platform will be the first of its kind in the Middle East and will revolutionize the Egyptian real estate market.
