Our world right now has transformed enormously; the pace at which things change, develop and move is more rapid than ever. Capitalism, practical life and everything that comes with it, a job, money, savings, and everything else, has almost wired people to believe that this is how the world is and to survive, you have to join the rat race. There is nothing wrong with living a practical life; however, most people tend to ignore this when it comes to mental and spiritual freedom.

To train your thoughts, calm your mind, and sit down with the idea of improving your spiritual self is something many consider ancient and not worthy of their time. Aaron Doughty is a spiritual teacher and a thought leader – he has considered the practicalities of life and a 9–5 job. Finally, he realized that there was a better purpose for him, so he quit that life and moved on to something new.

Working at a 9–5 job selling women’s shoes, Aaron thought like others around him did: that this was the world and we have to get a job and live in it. However, Aaron realized that a 9–5 was not quite what he wanted for himself, and he thought that there could be more to his life. The first step was very difficult for Aaron; there wasn’t any security, people would judge him, and he worried about getting stuck.

Aaron then discovered the “law of subtraction,” and it dictated that to live a happier, more abundant life rather than adding things, we needed to let things go. This was where the change came in. He let go of ideas, emotions, and the fear of being judged. Aaron realized that he needed to change his thoughts and even his identity. He then started making YouTube videos in 2017 about spiritual teachings and mental states.

While he started making these videos while doing his 9–5, it took only 3 weeks for his content to gain traction, and he found himself with a lot of viewers, and in just 6 months, Aaron had an incredible 100,000 subscribers. This was when he quit his job to pursue Youtube full-time. Aaron currently has over 1,000,000 Youtube subscribers, more than a million views on Youtube, and an impressive 362,000 followers on Instagram.

Now, Aaron is a spiritual teacher, but he is very much grounded and practical. He does not discard the practicalities of life as most spiritual teachers do. When talking about wisdom, Aaron says that your self-image is flexible, and you shouldn’t let the past dictate it because you can always change it. Aaron has helped thousands of people quit their 9–5 jobs and pursue something they love full time.

Aaron has goals for the future, and he plans to have his brand bring people together in terms of spirituality and personal development from all around the world. He also wants to keep traveling around the world as he does now, meeting new people and helping change millions of people’s lives for the better, helping them become the best versions of themselves.
